Genus: Tonsilla Wang and Yin, 1992
Type species: Tonsilla truculenta, Wang and Yin, 1992       from China.
Diagnosis: Females can be easily recognized by the large epigynal atrium, the posterior extension of the anterior atrial margin, the medially situated epigynal teeth, and the large copulatory ducts, males by the long, dorsally curved patellar apophysis and the short, lobed conductor. Both sexes have three promarginal and two retromarginal cheliceral teeth
